Maximus Comes In With Two Broken Legs After Road Accident

We were contacted recently by a lovely lady named Sara had witnessed a dog being hit by a car. Sara was kind enough to look after Maximus until animal rescue officer Khun Jaroon could rush to the scene to pick him up.

Once back at the Soi Dog clinic, it was found that Maximus had injured both his right legs in the accident and also had a maggot infested wound on his right thigh, would come have been caused quite some time ago.

Maximus’ wound was immediately treated and he has been given antibiotics to prevent a serious infection developing. Maximus will need to be sent to have x-rays before the vets can decide the best treatment for his injured legs.

It is only because of members of the Emergency Response Team that dogs like Maximus can be collected and brought to the shelter for immediate treatment. You can help Maximus and many dogs like him by becoming a member of the Emergency Response Team. Please visit https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html and join up today.
