Orphaned Puppies Require Khun Mias Immediate Care
Tweet |
Three orphaned puppies came to Soi Dog Foundation after their mother died while giving birth. These puppies were named after the Three Musketeers Aramis, Athos and Porthos and were less than a week old when they came into Soi Dogs care. These puppies were sent immediately to Soi Dogs foster carer Khun Mia, to give them the best chance possible.
With puppies so young, it is a battle for survival without their mother to care for them. Unfortunately little Aramis did not survive, leaving Athos and Porthos clinging to life under Khun Mias care. There is no alternative other than for puppies this young to be cared for by a foster carer. If they were to stay at the shelter they may be exposed to germs, while harmless to older puppies, could prove fatal for such vulnerable, young babies.
These two tiny puppies were far from being out of the woods and needed to gain their strength and grow each day. Khun Mia will certainly have her hands full as puppies as young as Athos and Porthos need around the clock care. We will keep you posted on their progress.
Only you can help Athos and Porthos and orphaned puppies just like them him by becoming a member of the Emergency Response Team which exists to treat cases such as this. You can sign up to join this team at https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html
