FEEDING THE STREET CATS & DOGS IN TURKEY

It’s not easy work for Manuela Wroblewski who volunteers full time to feed, rescue & care for the street cats and dogs in Avsallar, Turkey. Manuela walks for hours each day, putting down meals for cat after cat and dog after dog. She recognizes so many faces as they wait for her each day. Others are new to the area or just passing by and seem quite surprised that a human is stopping to offer them food. Exquisitely loyal, the dogs will often follow Manuela for miles and it breaks her heart that she can’t simply sweep them up.

Each month the Harmony Fund sends over funding to continue Manuela’s work. A community spay/neuter program is rolled out as often as possible and the cats and dogs are adopted as often as homes can be found.
