Kato Starts Treatment For Injured Paw, A Tumour And Liver Problem

Hi, my name is Kato. If you didnt catch my original story you can read it by visiting https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.674893455885726.1073742704.108625789179165&type=1

I was picked up at a local school by Khun Jaroon, an animal rescue officer for Soi Dog. Khun Jaroon noticed that I had an injured paw which was infected and full of pus. It was lucky for me that I was picked up for this because I actually had another serious problem, a tumour on my penis.

My paw is now being treated with antibiotics and is being cleaned daily. I had to also have an operation to remove my scrotum due to the tumour on my penis. The vets have also found that I have liver problems so I am now receiving medication for this. They say once my liver enzymes are stable they will start giving me chemotherapy as I have a horrible virus called TVT (transmissible venereal tumour) which can cause tumours all over a dogs body.

I have to admit, I am still not feeling great, but I am relieved that I am getting the treatment I need. The vets tell me that they are only able to care for me because of the wonderful people who are part of the Emergency Response Team. If you would like to help provide continued treatment for me and emergency treatment for other dogs and cats who need it, you can do so by visiting https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html and joining this team today.
