Marmite Heads Off To Her New Home In Bangkok

Hi, my name is Marmite and I am only a young girl who was found all alone and eating rubber from the trees in a plantation trying to survive. If you haven’t read my original story, you can do so at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.657217440986661.1073742609.108625789179165&type=3

I was so scared and alone when I was trying to survive by eating liquid rubber from the trees at only six weeks old. I was lucky though that a nice lady saw me and called Soi Dog Foundation and thanks to the Emergency Response Team (https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html), Khun Jaroon came to get me straight away. The vets at Soi Dog were worried that eating the liquid rubber may have caused a blockage in my body, but thankfully this did now happen and I was ok.

I also had some skin problems when I was found, but the vets soon helped me with that and I was moved into the puppy run. It was lots of fun in there, but I wasn’t there for long. Today I said goodbye to my puppy friends and to my carer Khun Sa Too. After I said my goodbyes, Mark took me in the van to the airport where I was getting on a plane to fly to my new home in Bangkok. I was a bit nervous about getting onto a plane, but Mark told me it was going to be a short trip and I would be meeting my new family in no time. I am very grateful for all that Soi Dog have done to help me, but I am also excited that I am going to have a wonderful future. I would never have thought it would be possible back when I was all alone in the rubber plantation.

If you would also like to adopt a dog (or a cat) from Soi Dog, they tell me it’s pretty easy. All you need to do is visit http://www.soidog.org/en/adoptions/ to find out more and if you would like to adopt you just need to get in touch.
