Ayuri Undergoes Surgery For Mammary Gland Tumour

Hello, my name is Ayuri. If you havent met me yet, you can find out more about me by visiting https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.674054975969574.1073742699.108625789179165&type=3

I was all alone with no one to look after me and I was so scared. I am an old dog at 15 years of age and I can no longer see. I have quite a few health problems and I was really starting to struggle to look after myself.

A great thing happened recently. A lovely man named Khun Jaroon found me at the temple where I was living and took me back to the Soi Dog shelter where he works. The vets at Soi Dog have been so kind to me and helped me immediately by giving me antibiotics for a wound on my stomach and vitamin supplements to help me get healthy. The carers here have been lovely too, making sure I have plenty of food to eat and water to drink. I feel like I am in heaven with so many people looking after me!

I had to have a small operation the other day because I had a tumour in my mammary glands. The surgery was no big deal as I was asleep when it was happening. The vets have been cleaning my surgery wound every day and I am still on antibiotics so it doesnt get infected. The vets have also started treating me for problems with my skin, so I am hoping it will get rid of the itchiness I have been suffering from.

I am so thankful that Khun Jaroon found me and that I am being helped here in the Soi Dog clinic. I have heard that this is all possible for me due to some generous people who make up the Emergency Response Team which helps dogs like me receive the vet treatment and care that we need. If you would like to help me and many other dogs like me, please join this team today. You can do this by visiting https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html
