Concerned Local Contacts Us About A Sick Street Dog

Soi Dog was recently contacted by Khun Tassanee asking for help for a sick street dog. Khun Tassanee has been feeding a group of street dogs for many years and noticed one of the dogs was ill. She noticed that Witty had not been eating recently and was losing weight.

Thanks to the members of the Emergency response Team (https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html), animal rescue officer Khun Nok was sent to pick up Witty and bring her back to the clinic so the vets could examine her.

Upon examination by the vets, it was found that Witty is suffering bad breath and an ulcer on her gums, which may indicate gum disease. This no doubt have made it uncomfortable for her to eat. Witty was also found to be dehydrated and is now receiving intravenous fluids and she also has blood parasites and anaemia which will require treatment.

It is only with your help that Witty and dogs like her receive the treatment and care they need. Please consider joining the Emergency Response Team today to help Witty and many other animals that come into Soi Dog’s care needing urgent treatment. You can join today by visiting https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html
