Jojo Schnauzer is back with more news from Noah's Ark Cares.
Last week, those on our email list of contacts would have received news about our "Food Donation Drive". Response has been encouraging, thank you.
The latest figure from Noah's Ark is that the dog population has increased to 750 from 700 at the beginning of the year. The figures from the rest of the animals remain close to status quo.
All these years, Noah's Ark has been very fortunate to receive donations in kind, food and cash. Thank you very much indeed!
For the donors who donated food; our volunteers would take the time and trouble to go round the island to collect them after work. Usually, the donors will either leave the food at the pet shop for the volunteers to collect or they will lug home the food for the volunteers to collect from their residence.
This is not only time consuming, it involves a lot of effort too for both parties. To help alleviate this issue, Noah's Ark has mooted this new idea of a "Food Donation Drive".
Noah's Ark is collaborating with 5 pet shops around the island for this drive. Donors can now make purchases at these 5 pet shops, who will accumulate the orders and Noah's Ark volunteers will collect them.
Purchases can done done either online or in the shop.
