Cinder Comes To The Shelter With A Severely Injured Leg
Tweet |
Young Cinder came to the shelter recently after being found in a large well in the jungle in the Phang-Nga area, just north of the island of Phuket. We are unsure whether his injuries are a result of falling into the well or whether he was injured prior to this. The vets have examined his leg and found it to be broken and not responding to touch. Cinder has also lost most of the skin from his leg and it has now become infected.
Vets have little choice but to amputate Cinder’s leg as he will not regain use of it in the future. There is also the risk the infection may lead to septicaemia, which may ultimately take his life.
We will keep you informed as to how Cinder recovers from his amputation. We have no doubt he will cope just fine with three legs and he should be on the road to recovery in no time.
