5 Seconds for a Good Deed Tonight?
“When Cricket arrived at my home, she was afraid to bark for the first few weeks,” Harmony Fund Founder Laura Simpson said. “The pound was a traumatizing place for her. I know she never had a bed or a walk or a chance to see the sun. If she could speak in terms we could understand, I have no doubt she’d ask you to take 5 seconds to sign a petition to outlaw some dark practices at the pound she was once rescued from.”
IT’S A ONE-WAY DOOR: At this New Orleans animal control center, dogs are being killed without anyone even knowing they are in the pound. Their presence is never announced and some have even been destroyed while rescuers were speeding down the road to get them. Animal Aid of Vermillion Parish is asking for your help in signing a petition to make this Louisiana pound more accountable and more humane. http://www.change.org/petitions/billy-nogel-implement-change-at-the-vermilion-parish-shelter-after-the-unnecessary-killing-of-sasha-pepper-and-ringo
Lots of little Crickets are inside tonight waiting for their lucky rescue. Let’s please pull together to help.
