Naomi Begins To Recover From Her Car Accident Injuries

Hi, my name is Naomi and I believe we have been introduced. If you havent met me before you can read my original story at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.659972174044521.1073742626.108625789179165&type=3

I am only a few months old and have had a rough start to life. I was hit by a car and wasnt able to walk properly. I also had a couple of wounds on my back from the accident. Seeing as I couldnt walk, the humans thought it would be best for me to go and see the vets at Soi Dog. They said I had a fractured pelvis and ordered me to rest. They also gave me some painkillers to help me.

I thought I was doing ok, but after about five days my tummy began to swell up. The vets said the wounds on my back got really infected which was causing this. It was so painful and I had to get an operation to put some drains into my body to get rid of all the extra fluid inside me.

My wounds are slowly starting to get better, but the vets still have had to treat me most days to get rid of dead tissue around the wounds. I dont really like when the vets do that, but they give me cuddles when they have finished the treatment so that makes me happy. They say I still need a lot of treatment and that I still need to get lots of rest before I start going for walks. I am starting to feel a lot better though.

Thanks to all the members of the Emergency Response Team. The vets say that without your help, they wouldnt be able to provide the treatment I need and they wouldnt be able to help the other dogs and cats.
