Conan Requires Treatment After Being Deliberately Hit By A Car

Conan was picked up by animal rescue officer Khun Jaroon after it was reported that he had been deliberately run over by a car. As a result of this, poor Conan was unable to walk properly due to an abscess on his right shoulder.

To treat this abscess, Conan needed to be placed under anaesthetic while Dr Eed opened him up to drain the excess fluid. As you can see from the photos, a lot of fluid was drained from the abscess which would have no doubt been causing Conan a lot of pain. A drain tube was left in Conan’s wound to drain any excess fluid build-up and he was treated with antibiotics, pain relief and anti-inflammatories. The vets will keep watch on Conan to ensure his wound is healing well and doesn’t become infected in the coming days.

Only you can help dogs like Conan receive the treatment and care they need. You can do this by becoming a member of the Emergency Response Team which exists to treat cases such as this. You can sign up to join this team at https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html
