Abba Requires Treatment For A Blood Filled Ear

Poor Abba recently came to the clinic at the shelter suffering from a blood filled ear, medically known as an aural hematoma. We imagine that Abba would have been in a lot of discomfort and Dr Eugene needed to perform minor surgery to drain the excess blood.

We are unsure of why Abba is suffering from this condition and it may have been caused by a number of things including ear mites, trauma, infection or the presence of a foreign item in her ear. Abba has also been found to have slight anaemia and skin problems however the vets are confident they will be able to treat this.

Abba will require ongoing treatment to drain her ear until it is fully healed. It is only with your help that we can treat cases like Abba’s.
