Just When We Think We Have Seen Everything!

Soi Dog Foundation regularly performs mobile clinics where as many street dogs and cats are sterilised as possible. A very interesting case arose this week with an 8 year old male dog coming in to be sterilised. When the vet was removing the testicles, two air rifle pellets were found.

This dog was in good health and the vets believe that he must have been shot when younger as he had very small testicles, probably due to the presence of the pellets. The pellets were removed during surgery and the dog was fine when he awoke from his anaesthetic.

It is only with your help that Soi Dog Foundation can run these sterilisation clinics to reduce the stray cat and dog populations. If you would like to donate to keep the mobile sterilisation clinics operating, please visit https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/
