Hero Prepares For His Trip To His New Home

Hi everyone, its Hero here. They say I am now a pretty famous dog, but if you havent heard of me, you can read my original story at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.618359681539104.1073742368.108625789179165&type=3

I am starting to get very excited as I will be going to my new home in about a weeks time. I had a trip to the dentist today and have been getting some extra treatment for my skin. I have a little bit of mange, but Dr Su tells me it is not a big deal and that my adopter doesnt mind. In fact, going to the US is supposedly going to be good for my skin as mange is hard to treat in a hot country like Thailand. I dont mind terribly having a little bit of mange as it is nothing compared to the problems I had when I first came to Soi Dog. I have included an original photo to remind you how bad I was. I really have come a long way.

I have been getting lots of walks lately as they say I need to practice walking on a lead so my new family will be proud of me. I love going for walks around the Soi Dog grounds. There are lots of interesting things to sniff and stuff to see. I hope my new home is interesting, but I think it will be.

I cannot thank Soi Dog supporters enough for loving me and donating to help me get better. I do hope that all abused and sick dogs like me get the same chance at recovery as I had. You can help with this by becoming a member the Emergency Response Team. You can join today by visiting https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html
