The current temporary shelter is overcrowded and lacks basic facilities to maintain the well being of the dogs and cats.

We are a team of like minded friends, working under the name �We Are Family�, with a mission: to give back to society.

Our aim is to raise funds for charities and our first project is to build a shelter to house ove 1400 stray dogs and 150 cats in Johor.

The group members are: Carol Lee (Mrs Universe 2013 and News Presenter), Nancie Foo (Miss Malaysia/International, Actress and Film Producer), Carven Ong (Couture /Wedding Specialist), Cynthia Tee (Haute Jewellery Consultant), Lim Hwa Hong (Design Architect (ARBV), Furniture Designer and Lecturer), Datin Joneser Choi (Philanthropist) , Thanuja Ananthan ( Miss Malaysia/World 2009/2010, TV Host, Emcee, International Model, Actress, Animal Ambassador and Activist), Edward Ho (Fashion Designer) , Vasanthi Sundaram ( Animal Activist) , Alistair Tan (Animal Activist) and Joyce Yong ( Activist against animal cruelty).

The team has embarked on its first charity project, to raise funds for a new home for Johor based animal shelter HOPE.

Every ringgit from donors will go directly to the building fund for the shelter. � We Are Family� team is working on a totally voluntary, unpaid basis.

HOPE Johor

Homeless & Orphan Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.) is a non-profit organization and no-kill shelter that aims to improve welfare of strays and abandoned pets around Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Our four core missions are rescuing, re-homing, sterilization and increasing public awareness of pet ownership and responsibilities. Currently, we are caring for approximately 700 abandoned animals in our shelter located at Lima Kedai.
