Pokos Wounds Are Slowly Starting To Heal

Hi, its me Poko. If you have not met me yet, you can read my previous story at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.654301514611587.1073742586.108625789179165&type=3

I am happy to report that while I am still receiving treatment and my wounds are still pretty bad, I am starting to feel a little bit better and things are looking up for me. I came to Soi Dog with awful wounds all over my body and the vets tell me that I am lucky to be alive. They say my wounds were so bad that they couldnt show you what they looked like as it may have been too distressing for you to see.

I am not feeling as scared anymore and while I dont like the treatment I am getting, I know it is helping me so I am willing to put up with it. The vets tell me I need to make more of an effort to eat as I am losing a bit of weight. They try and entice me to eat with boiled eggs as they say they are full of the nutrients I need. I can eat a couple of eggs, but after that I feel really full and just want to rest.

I would like to thank Soi Dog for helping me. I dont know what I did to deserve being injured like this, but the people here are making me realise that not everybody is bad and some people really do care about me. The vets tell me that there are a lot of people outside of Soi Dog who also care about me a lot and without their help they wouldnt be able to give me the treatment I need. Thank you to the members of the Emergency Response Team for helping me. If you are not a member of this team and would like to help me and many other dogs just like me, you can join by visiting https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html
