hi Dr Chan
A very blessed Gong Xi Fa Cai to you and family. I would like to seek neutering subsidy for this mother and son pair. I first saw them wandering around shops at Ara Damansara a few days before Chinese New Year. I followed them and saw that they hang outside a tyre shop but the shop people denied its their dogs. Pumpkin the mother is very friendly and submissive while Taro the puppy is a timid chap and has mange. I fed them over CNY period and sent them in for neutering the week after. They have been neutered and vaccinated, and taro is being treated for his mange. Under foster care now and I hope they will find a good home.
cheers
Eileen

Subject: TNR in Kg Sungai Buloh
To: Chan Kah Yein <chankahyein@gmail.com>
hi Dr Chan
I saw a group of about a dozen dogs outside a property gallery in Kg Sg Buloh one night just before CNY and spoke to the guards who are feeding them. Apparently they go off in the morning and “come on duty” at night when the night guards are around. A number of them are females. After talking to the guards, they agreed to help me catch the dogs two by two for neutering.
So this TNR project started this Friday with two female dogs. They were being harassed by a few male dogs as they were on heat, so i was in the nick of time to prevent any unwanted births. It is unfortunate that I have no foster space, so after a few days at the vet, they will be released back on the street. I will post their pictures for adoption still and hope someone will fall in love with them enough to bring them home. Anyhow, here are the pictures of the first two dogs before and after neutering.
cheers
Eileen

Viva la CNRM! It’s the most compassionate method of controlling the stray animal population and helping them achieve better wellbeing or literally saving their lives.
And while we are waiting for the authorities to implement neutering instead of capture-and-destroy, we hope our subsidies are helping caregivers at the grassroots in taking care of the animals.
Every life saved is a precious life.
