Kodomo Is Doing Well After His Leg Amputation

Hi, my name is Kodomo. If you havent heard of me you can read my story at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.652136074828131.1073742570.108625789179165&type=3

I came to the Soi Dog Clinic after I had been hit by a car and one of my back legs had been injured. This was not the first time my leg had been broken and once before I had to have pins inserted into my leg after breaking it. The vets tried to fix my leg again, but they had to tell me that the best thing to do would be to remove my injured leg as it was too damaged. I was really sad and worried at first, but the vets then told me about other dogs that get by just fine with only 3 legs and that cheered me up a lot.

I also wasnt feeling very well when I came to the shelter and the vets tell me its because I have blood parasites. I dont know what they are, but they made me feel very sick. I have been on medication now for a couple of weeks and am starting to feel a lot better.

I am so happy that I came to Soi Dog and that they vets helped me, but I have heard that caring for me is only possible because of the Emergency Response Team which is made up of lovely people who help Soi Dog be able to look after dogs and cats that need help. If you are not a member of this team you can join today at https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html

One last thing, and I really hope I dont jinx things by telling you, but I have been overhearing talks that maybe one of the vets who is looking after me might want to adopt me. They havent told me for sure, but I really hope that happens. Please keep your fingers crossed for me that I will be going to a new home very soon.
