Brooklyn Begins Her Quest To Walk Again

Hello everybody, my name is Brooklyn. If you dont already know about me you can read my story at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.649075518467520.1073742550.108625789179165&type=1

I really have had a rough start to life, but I am a happy little girl and am determined to overcome the odds. I was attacked by a big, nasty dog recently and after that happened I wasnt able to walk. A nice lady saw me struggling and took me to Soi Dog Foundation. I am so lucky she did, there was no way I would have survived otherwise.

Dr Su has been taking really good care of me, but unfortunately the news hasnt all been great. Dr Su realised that I was never going to be able to use my right back leg again, so she made the hard decision to amputate it (that means I had an operation to remove it). I was very sore for a few days, but am starting to feel better now.

I still cant use my left back leg, so I have been relying on my carer Khun Mui a lot to help me clean up after I go to the toilet and she has to make sure I can reach my food and water. Dr Su and Khun Mui have been helping me to exercise my left back leg as they say I need to build some muscles before I can use it again. I really hope that I can use it again soon, as I am not sure what my future will be like if I cant walk on it.

I am so happy that I am at Soi Dog being helped, but Khun Mui says it is only possible because of people who belong to Phis Cat Care Club which helps cats like me. To join this club and ensure cats like me get the treatment they need and so my treatment can be continued please visit https://www.soidog.org/en/sponsor-a-cat/
