SNOW SHOVELING AFTER THE STORM

Can you find the little one in this photo? Norman is a snow-lovin’ bunny who enjoys playing in the path we cleared. He’s a beloved rescued pet who was found many years ago on the grounds of an industrial park near the Harmony Fund headquarters. More than a decade later, Harmony Fund Founder Laura Simpson is still in that parking lot every day, feeding the feral cat colony who resides on the grounds.

“Truthfully, my back is a little sore today,” Laura said, “but everyone got fed and each has a large, cleared area where they can safely move from their shelter to feeding station. Heaving snow with a red plastic shovel until the sun goes down may not be pretty, but the view sure is wonderful as lots of little paws begin to gather around a platter of wet food. That’s when you say to yourself, ‘Life is good.”
