Vets Continue To Fight To Save Taurus Eyesight

Hi, my name is Taurus and I believe you have been told my story already. If you have missed it, you can read it by visiting https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.651342484907490.1073742564.108625789179165&type=3
I have been having a horrible time of life lately. I used to live in a home with a family, but one day they put me in the car and drove me to a temple and left me there. I was so scared. I did not know what I had done wrong to be dumped by people I thought loved me and who I loved and trusted. Some of the other dogs at the temple told me that they heard that sometimes families from other countries live in Phuket for a short time and either bring their dogs with them when they move here or get a dog when they arrive. Most families love their dogs so much that they will do anything to take them overseas when they leave, but unfortunately my family did not want to do this. Instead of finding me a new family to live with, the just dumped me.
Life was hard at the temple but I was doing ok. I watched what the other dogs were doing and managed to survive. However, one day a terrible thing happened to me. A horrible man called me over to him. I thought he was going to give me food, so I went over to him. He grabbed me by the scruff of my neck and started stabbing me in my eyes. The pain was excruciating and I have no idea why he did this to me. I dont think I did anything bad to deserve it. I managed to get away and hide, but I was not able to see and was absolutely terrified. Some of the people who live near the temple saw that something had happened to me and tried to help by putting some powder on my eyes. This didnt help me, so thankfully the kind people called Soi Dog Foundation and a man named Khun Thep came to get me and took me back to their clinic.
Thanks to something called the Emergency Response Team (https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html) I was seen immediately by a vet called Dr Greg. He discovered that one of my eyes was missing and worked hard to try and save my other eye so I would have some sight in the future.
I have now been at the clinic for a few days now and am happy to report I am starting to feel a bit better. Dr Greg is feeling hopeful that I will be able to see out of my left eye, although he says I need to be patient and get lots of rest. I feel safe at the clinic and am being fed well. I am so glad to be here. I will not forget what that horrible man did to me, but everyone looking after me promises that they will protect me and no one will ever hurt me like that again.
Thank you to the members of the Emergency Response Team for helping to look after me. If you are not a member of this team, will you please join today so more dogs like me can get the urgent treatment they need. You can join by visiting https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html
