Meet Kodomo, The Littlest Amputee

Kodomo came to the Soi Dog shelter after having been hit by a car, resulting in the breakage of his left hind leg. Vets discovered that this was not the first time his leg had been broken. The same leg had been previously pinned, however the pin inserted was too long.

After much deliberation, the vets determined that Kodomo’s leg was beyond repair after so much trauma and that the kindest thing for Kodomo would be an amputation.

Since coming to the clinic, it has also been determined that poor little Kodomo is suffering from blood parasites and is now undergoing treatment for these. Life has been tough for this little guy, but we are hoping he will feel a lot better soon and be able to enjoy life once more.

It is only with your help that dogs like Kodomo can be helped. By becoming a member of the Emergency Response Team you can ensure the treatment and rehabilitation of dogs like Kodomo. Join today by visiting https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html
