DOG RESCUED FROM LOCAL MARKET WITH WOUND FROM EXCESSIVE SCRATCHIN

Pocahontas was collected by animal rescue officer Khun Sanae from a local market not far from the Soi Dog shelter. Pocahontas has made a really mess of herself from relentless scratching as a result of a skin condition. Skin conditions are very common in street dogs and when left untreated can lead to loss of hair, infection and severe discomfort. Due to Thailand’s humid conditions, skin conditions are also very hard to overcome without treatment. Thankfully for Pocahontas her skin condition is isolated to one patch on her neck and she is now receiving care from Soi Dog’s vets.
