PUPPIES LEFT WITHOUT THEIR MOTHER

The Soi Dog Foundation helpline recently received a call from a German man to report that there were five puppies in his housing estate that had been left without their mother. Gill, Pond and Raymond rushed to the scene to evaluate the situation. The German man reported that the developer of his expanding estate has removed five dogs living in the area, most likely by poisoning. Unfortunately the mother of these pups was one of the dogs that was removed from the site. Thankfully the mother had the puppies well hidden in the root of a tree so they were safe for the short-term. The daughter of the German man was quite distraught that the puppies were being taken away, with her mother having to explain they were returning to Germany soon and we unable to take five puppies with them and it was best they return to Soi Dog Foundation. Gill, Pond and Raymond brought these little orphans back to the shelter where they would then be examined by vets and a decision made about their immediate care.
