Perky Says Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Perky was our Klang Pound rescue.
I named her Perky because I saw her the cheerful and determined spirit in her and indeed, she bounced back from several mishaps; one of which was when her stitches tore after being spayed and I was alone with her on the farm, miles from nowhere. I still remember that incident and how I pressed on her stitches to stop the bleeding. Later at the farm, she was identified as being too sickly, so we brought her back from the farm and by the time she reached the shelter, the manager thought she wouldn’t survive, but Perky did. And being from the pound, she came down with illnesses too, but she survived all those.
And everything happens for a reason – Because we brought her back, she had the good and heavensent fortune of being adopted by Mei Leng and lives a comfortable life with two rabbits as companions.
And now, once a year, Perky still sends me “Gong Xi Fa Cai” wishes!
Perky!! It’s been four years now.
Doesn’t she look absolutely radiant?
Perky has a wonderful life – what a lucky girl!!
Thank you very much, Mei Leng, for taking such good care of Perky.
Gong Xi Fa Cai to Mei Leng, Perky and the two bunnies!
