Ying and Yang arrived at Soi Dog under very sad circumstances. Now 6 and 7 years old, Ying and Yang had been pets all their lives when their owner decided to leave Phuket. Rather than making arrangements to take her loyal best friends with her, the owner took them to a vet to be put to sleep. The vet refused to do this, so the callous owner decided to abandon them on the street. Having been pets all their lives, Ying and Yang had no survival skills for life on the street and if not found and brought to Soi Dog, we are not sure they would have been able to survive. Ying and Yang are now living permanently at the Soi Dog shelter, but we do hope that one day we will be able to find a loving home for these dogs, together if possible and we will ensure that they go to home where they will be loved for the rest of their lives, not only until they become an inconvenience.

Soi Dog Foundation

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals. Soi Dog also has a treatment facility in Bangkok and responds to crisis situations throughout Thailand.
