RESCUED FROM GRAVE DANGER

Wabisabi was picked up at a local resort and in a very distressed state. He was found with bite wounds and skin problems and unable to find food for himself. The future looked particularly bleak for Wabisabi as the local people did not like him. If Wasabi had been left living in an area where he was not welcome his life would have been in grave danger. Dogs living in an area where locals do not like them are most likely to be killed, usually with poison. A dog with an appearance like Wasabi’s is even more at risk as they believe that they are diseased and contagious. It was critical that Wasabi was removed as soon as possible to prevent a cruel and horrific death!

Wabisabi was taken to a local vet by a concerned lady and the vet contacted Soi Dog. He was picked up by one of the animal rescue officers and bought back to the shelter. Upon examination by the vets, Wabisabi has been found to have mange, anaemia and septicaemia in addition to his multiple wounds, so will require a variety of treatments. Wabisabi is currently terrified of people, no doubt due to knowing only a life where people abuse him. Soi Dog will not only treat his medical problems but will also treat his mental issues and hopefully he will learn to trust and will have a bright future.

Only you can help save dogs like Wabisabi and give them a chance of recovery and quality of life. To help Thailand’s dogs and cats, please consider making a donation at: https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/
