ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENT RESULTS IN SURGERY
Tweet | ![]() |
The roads in Thailand are a dangerous place for street dogs and many road traffic accident victims are brought here to the Soi Dog Foundation clinic. Recently we saw the arrival of Hanoi, a young dog who at only 4 months of age who was seriously injured as a result of a road accident. He had head trauma as well as fractures in his hips and legs and one can only imagine the pain the poor little guy was in! Unfortunately as a result of this accident, Hanoi lost the use of his front left leg and required amputation which was performed this week. The surgery went well and Hanoi is now recovering in the clinic. We will continue to update you on his progress but we are certain that he will adapt with no problems at all. Many dogs at the Soi Dog shelter are missing legs and they get along fine and enjoying playing and going out for walks as much as their four-legged friends.
Only you can help dogs like Hanoi and give them treatment and a place to live in safe surroundings. To help Thailand’s dogs and cats, please consider making a donation at: https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/
