What Soi Dog's Supporters Accomplish - A Week At The Shelter...

These photos are of a typical week which generally sees at least 20 dogs and cats come in for treatment in Phuket alone. These are the dogs and cats admitted this week and of course does not include the approximately 300 animals spayed and neutered each week. On average Soi Dog has around 150 cats and dogs receiving treatment at any one time.

Cases vary from road accidents, wounds, skin disorders, and many different illnesses. These numbers do not include dogs and cats receiving treatment at our Bangkok clinic and at private clinics elsewhere, (One dog alone currently at a private clinic is costing over $1,200 required specialist spinal surgery and aftercare). How are Soi Dog able to treat and sterilize so many animals week in week out?

Soi Dog Foundation
