HEROES CIRCLE ROUND RESCUED DOGS WHEN HUSBAND LANDS IN HOSPITAL

Keith and Maria are avid rescuers in Spain, married 19 years and running their own shelter called A New Day Spain. Here you see just a few of the dogs who are under their care. Well, on January 2 crisis hit when Keith was admitted to the hospital with bleeding in his brain. He’s still in the hospital, fighting. The doctors are beginning to see some hopeful signs and Keith just wants to go home and get well. The Harmony Fund sent over aid to help with the dogs’ care and several foster care volunteers have stepped forward to house dogs temporarily until Keith and Maria are both 100% healthy and rested from this ordeal.

Today Maria writes, “Big day tomorrow. Keith is going down to have his first brain scan since he was admitted. The doctors are very pleased with his progress, blood pressure normal, temperature normal, co ordination good….Thank you everyone for your astronomical support. Without it it I dread to imagine what would have happened. XXX”

And this is the way of animal lovers isn’t it. We circle around one another during times of need. Even during the darkest hours, we know that we can count on one another to do what is right and what is best for both man and animal.

Thank you to our wonderful supporters for allowing us to grant wishes to help out in Spain this week and to extend support each month to dozens of small rescue squads in need all across the planet.
