ANY ANIMAL RESCUE VOLUNTEERS IN REVERE, MASSACHUSETTS?
This weekend we’re doing a search & rescue operation to find any cats who may have been left behind at the end of the racetrack season. In years past, we’ve found that a few cats are sometimes left behind (and sometimes chickens) by the horse racing folks who pack up and leave for winter. The orange cat shown here is Hanah enjoying some outdoor time with her buddy Norman. She was one of the cats rescued from the track years ago. She was just sitting in an empty stall on a freezing day with snow drifts up to 8 feet high outside. We rescued so many cats that day that we ran out of carriers and she had to ride home in a chicken carrier. She was snoring as we drove down the road – so tired from her ordeal.
Hanah was blessed to have spent the last days of her life in the home of Harmony Fund Founder Laura Simpson. This weekend we’ll be searching again and are eager to find a couple people who live in the Revere, Massachusetts area to join us.
