She’s not part of our 12 Singapore Specials of Christmas feature, but Kiseki the Bull Terrier sure has a story to tell.
Found immobile along Changi Road two weekends ago, Kiseki had injured hind legs and was bleeding from the mouth when our Junior Inspector (JI) arrived on the scene. Our JI rushed her back to our shelter where she was checked by our consultant vet. Kiseki was paralysed from the waist down and we suspected a mild nerve problem. Unable to get her to eat or drink, we feared the worst.
This girl proceeded to amaze us and our shelter staff found her walking on all fours in her kennel last week. Kiseki continues to amaze us with her willpower and her happy outlook is infectious indeed!
She is currently on medication for her nerve problem and may or may not suffer from a relapse in future. This very special girl will require special care and we hope to find her a good family soon, once she’s ready for adoption.
Visit our online adoption gallery (http://www.spca.org.sg/services.asp) for regular updates on the new animals up for adoption, and consider opening your hearts and homes to another family member if you’re ready!
