11 CATS NOW SAFE IN THE BARN SANCTUARY
Tweet |
Many of you know that we had been helping a colony of cats behind an auto body shop in a nearby city. Well, the good news is that over the last two weeks we staged a mission to rescue them all and to relocate them to the safety of a barn sanctuary. Though most of the time it is preferred to keep a feral cat colony in place and to provide food and shelter on site, there were a variety of factors that made relocation the safer choice for the cats and for our volunteers.
The cats are all thriving and having a wonderful time exploring their new home. Volunteer Karen F. is finding that most of the cats are actually not feral at all, they are shy but friendly. Hope you enjoy the photos of this little family (scroll through this album). We continue to place traps and leave out food as a precaution in case there are any other cats on the original site. We will not vacate the area until we’re absolutely certain that all have been rescued.
You, our supporters, make dreams come true! THANK YOU!!!!! And a HUGE thanks to all our monthly donors who help keep the cats fed all year long. www.HarmonyFund.org
