Here’s a sneak peek into Canvas Bag No. 2 – it’s a Christmas Shopping Bag!

I thought I’d use red and green, the classic Christmas colours. I learnt this patchwork technique from a youtube!

And I invested in the necessary tools needed – a good ruler, a rotary cutter, a cutting mat and a sewing machine! I figured this is a really fun hobby which I can probably do until I’m old and grey….and produce some useful stuff (if not for the animals, then for other charities)! It’s good for the brain too and you could incorporate some mathematics into the design. And am I imagining it or what, I think my eyesight has improved due to the necessity for better eyesight in order to sew. Seriously…I can thread the needle now (and I don’t wear spectacles).

Mum would have to sew the bag as I don’t know how!
