Bukit Piton Reforestation - A Success Story (Short Version)

Bukit Piton Forest Reserve in Lahad Datu, Sabah was recently gazetted from a Class II to a Class I Forest Reserve. This means it is now protected by law from any form of land conversion or timber exploitation, and that only environmental protection and biodiversity conservation activities are allowed in the area.

This video presents the journey of the upgrade in gazettement which was achieved with the strong collaboration and support from the Sabah Forestry Department.
