We have subsidised our maximum of RM500 for Lucy, who has now recovered from parvovirus. This subsidy comes from the AnimalCare Donors (RM200) and Berjaya Cares (RM300).

Lucy is for a female puppy I rescued from being attacked by the street dogs on 6/11/13. I named her Lucy and she is not neutered yet but I will do so once she is well.
Lucy had not been eating for 3 days now and even though she took some bite of wet food yesterday, she threw up. Her poop was pure tar black, smelly and she has been just lying on the floor. I spoke to the vet and she worries it may be parvo. After work later, I will take her to Dr to check. I hope it is not parvo but just trauma after the attack plus a new environment. I will keep you posted.
Thank you.

Hi
Update on Lucy, the pup I rescued from being attacked by the street dogs. Sadly her test for parvo is positive. As she had not been eating nor drinking for 3 days, vet has no choice but to admit her in so she can be put on drips. She couldn’t stand up well too:(
Vet had given her anti vomit and anti diarrhoea injection too. Had prayed to Goddess of Mercy to give this girl a chance to live and be happy.
Vet advised me to come daily for these 5 days to visit Lucy so she knows she needs to live as she is loved.
Will keep u updated. Thanks.
Regards

Lucy has jaundice. Dr had taken blood for testing to see if the virus had attack the liver or not.
But overall her appetite came back and had eaten all the whole chicken leg I had steamed for her.
No more vomiting nor purging.

Her nails, ears and eye is still yellowish which means the blood count for her liver and kidney is still on the unhealthy range. Dr will be taking blood this Monday for testing again. I am praying the count will be normal or reduced.
Lucy whimpers when I had to leave her. I know she wants to go back but sadly Dr can’t discharge her yet.
Once she is well enough, I will put her up for adoption cos I am unable to take care of so many dogs at my small townhouse.
Thanks and regards

She is still being quarantined in a room at my house. She eats nothing but chicken I steamed everyday for her – twice a day. Though I am tired and running low on cash, but it is ok as long as she has a big appetite.
Still have to quarantine her for another week and then she can be released to join the other dogs at my house. Once she is really well, I hope to get her rehome because currently with the pregnant dog at my yard, I am really very tired and money is also low.
Thank you.
