Work Continues On Building More Shelters For Dogs Rescued from The Illegal Dog Meat TradeMany thanks to those of you who have donated towards the construction of purpose built shelters for dogs rescued from the dog meat trade. It costs in the range of $46,000 each month to shelter and care for the dogs and support is urgently needed to continue! Please donate today at: http://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/burriram-shelter-appeal-11-2013/ to make sure this important work continues.
Some exciting news! A long time Soi Dog supporter has generously offered to match your donation dollar for dollar meaning that your impact goes twice as far in helping rescued dogs! But, only the first $10,000 will be matched so please donate today to make sure your donation is doubled! http://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/burriram-shelter-appeal-11-2013/
Two shelters have already been built at Buriram, Thailand and a third is nearing completion!
In addition concrete has started to be poured for the 4th shelter but work has had to be postponed owing to the soil underneath being too waterlogged, but with dry season approaching we hope delay will not be too long.
In the photos you can see the land being cleared for shelters 5 and 6. We are also going to extend and improve the first shelter built by the department of Livestock from left over fencing panels, but is not only shelters, A road is being built to provide access for trucks, we are installing electricity supply, installing a water treatment plant for safe drinking water. A lake is being dug to provide water for cleaning.
Plans are being made for an essential dog hospital financed by Soi dog supporters. Land will also be cleared for another 2 shelters.
The costs are huge and caring for the dogs can only continue with your support, please donate today by clicking here: http://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/burriram-shelter-appeal-11-2013/
Thank you for continuing to help the rescued dogs. It is only because of you that they continue to get the care and shelter they so much need deserve!
