The bill for the X-Ray is RM190 and we have subsidised RM95 for it. This subsidy comes from the AnimalCare Donors (RM45) and Berjaya Cares (RM50).
This case is from Penang. We are told the vet charges are higher there.

Hi Dr Chan, thanks for the medical subsidy for the above stray cat (transaction dated October 11th) On Thursday we took Anabel to the vet as we were getting worried taht she has still not giving birth and that she seemed very active for a pregnant cat. The vet did a ultrasound and could not see any kittens so had to do a x-ray. X-ray showed that her intestines were full of feces and as result werepushed out and gave her the pregnant look. Anabel is still passing a lot of stools daily, thus she is not impacted. The vet said that it could be due to the cat food that we were feeding her and thinking that she was pregnant, my husband fed her quite a lot daily. As she was a stray(for almost 2 years) she was not used to the type of cat food that we were feeding her. Thus we are cutting down 40 -50% on the current cat food that we are feeding her and hope that this will help toreduce the build up of the feces in the intestines.
When we first got her, she looked really scrawny and 3 days after she was on the cat food, her stomach started to show and we thought that because we were feeding her good, her pregnancy showed. We also took her to the vet then, he palpated her but no ultrasound was done. he said that he must have palpated the feces then and thougt that it was the kittens So we are hoping that the feed is causing the bloated stomach and that she does not have any tumour. We just have to wait and see.
Would like to know if we can claim subsidy for the x-ray which caused us RM190. Attached is a picture of her but cannot see the stomach very well. Let me know if I need to send another picture showing her stomach.
Thanks
Joyce

We would like to get her spayed asap and would toapply for the spaying subsidy as well. Well send the itemised bill and form on Monday. The vet did not charge us the consultation fee, only charged us for the x-ray which amounted to RM190. thank you
