Updates On 13th Nov 2013

We received a call at about 2.30pm today, about a suspected case of abuse. Our Junior Inspector (JI) arrived on the scene at Block 603 Hougang Avenue 4 and found this cat carcass at the foot of the block. Our JI brought the carcass back with him and our consultant vet found that the cat’s hind legs were badly fractured, with no other visible injuries apart from internal bleeding and superficial scratches sustained from the fall. The cat was sterilised and very well-groomed, with clean ears and trimmed nails. It is likely that it fell from its home.

If you have any information that may help us with the identification of the cat’s owner, please call us at 6287 5355 ext. 9.

We’d also like to remind all cat owners to keep your cats safe at home. For more information on how to cat-proof your home, please visit http://www.spca.org.sg/petcare_details.asp?id=729.
