From Koo:
Dear Dr Chan,
Winnie the pup has been adopted after a month of fostering. After being born into an uncertain future and only knowing life under a container, she and her family were finally rescued after many appeals from Azimah their guardian angel. When I first contacted you about Winnie for a vet visit, she was very weak and I initially thought she was paralysed since she couldn't walk after she was rescued. But with lots of loving foster care, she transformed into a bubbly pup that sprinted all over the place.
Everyone would fuss over her and not even the vet staff could resist her charm although they must have seen many puppies in their work.
My adopted dogs love her antics. Here she is trying to walk Blackie much to his amusement.
Goldie, her mom, proudly watching over Winnie, her only surviving pup from her 3rd litter. Goldie is still looking for a family to adopt her. (Koo can be contacted at ttdidog@gmail.com if you'd like to adopt Goldie, the mum. Apparently, Goldie could be an English Setter mix.)
The fosterer giving Winnie one last cuddle before we drove her to her new owner. Look how lively she was.
The fosterer handing Winnie over to Ms Chung of OUG after she completed the adoption papers. Ms Chung (who doesn't know about Winnie's history) was already excited to receive Winnie whose pictures were hung on her wall for her to fondly gaze at, in anticipation of her arrival after a week. We wish Winnie and Ms Chung a joyful life together! We would also like to thank you and AnimalCare and everybody involved for the help and support for Winnie.
Also, no adoption, transportation or any type of fee was charged to the new owner which received Winnie just with the standard adoption terms and conditions. Although quite a sum (not including the time and effort) has been spent on her, our happiness derived from her presence in my home was payback enough.
Thank you very much and best regards,
Koo
We salute Koo for all his efforts from the rescue, to the fostering and finally, the rehoming of Winnie Pup. It is definitely not an easy task at all. Congratulations, Koo! May Winnie have a wonderful life in her new home with Ms Chung!
