Soi Dog firmly believes that the ONLY effective and humane way of reducing the suffering of street dogs and cats is to spay and neuter. This prevents the increase in unwanted animals being born and suffering death, disease and starvation. As of August 2013, Soi Dog has reached a milestone of over 55,037 dogs and cats sterilised. As part of the spay and neuter program, Soi Dog operates mobile vet clinics around the island of Phuket five days per week. Today we visited the mobile clinic set up in Patong and the team were working extremely hard. The aim of this program is to sterilise 10,000 dogs per year plus cats.

Soi Dog Foundation

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals. Soi Dog also has a treatment facility in Bangkok and responds to crisis situations throughout Thailand.
