Thursday Day Two. BURIRAM. Volunteers continued right up to the last minute finishing and cleaning the latest new shelter. In readiness for the imminent arrival of 360 dogs from the Khemmarat livestock shelter. As can be seen was not the end of the operation as the dogs were introduced to their new home and a grooming salon was set up. Many thanks to all the volunteers who joined with SDF’s Khun Jeab and Bangkok manager Khun Kharn in this exercise. Work will continue tomorrow. More new shelters are badly needed to provide better conditions for the dogs currently housed in the overcrowded Nakhon phanom and Khemmarat shelters. Each shelter is costing around 40,000$US.
