MAN SAVES DROWNING WALLABY WITH CPR!

Mick Hussin was sitting at the edge of a creek when a group of dogs shot past chasing a young wallaby. They chased the wallaby right into the creek, where he started drowning. But not today.

You see, Mick had recently taken a CPA class and today he would use it to save a life. After a bit of maneuvering, he pulled the wallaby out of the water, and began the kiss of life.

I used my hand as a funnel and blowing into its mouth, put it on its side, Mick explained.

After a full 10 minutes, the wallaby was revived and showing signs of life.

It started to move its paw a tiny bit, Mick said.

He dried the little animal off, made a pouch for it, and kept it warm while making arrangements for the youngster to go to a local wildlife group.

The wallaby is recovering well and dear Mick is very thankful for the afternoon he spent learning CPR.

Animal Rescue Chase

The Great Animal Rescue Chase celebrates the art of animal rescue with a worldwide race to rescue one million. It’s a free event, open to all, and is perhaps the only global animal rescue event aimed at helping any animal in distress, anywhere in the world. Our ambition is to create a culture of enthusiasm and pride in animal activism. We believe in teaching, by example, that there is a hero in each of us just waiting to be unleashed. Empowered animal lovers can not only save lives, but build the momentum for powerful animal welfare reform.
