Updates On Kuda

As per scheduled, Kuda is due to be sent down to Gasing Veterinary Hospital (located at Selangor) today for further treatment and surgery. Our rescuers, Chuah and Fen Ying departed for the journey early this morning.

Some photos and a video taken of Kuda courtesy of Fen Ying during the 3.5 hours journey:-

Kuda had car sick during the long journey and threw up inside the car. After that, he felt tired and just dozed off throughout the journey.

It was nearly noon time when Kuda and our teamates reached Gasing Veterinary Hospital.
Kuda’s case was assigned to Dr. Prem. After a thorough checking, we were given 3 options:-
1. Let Kuda heal on its own and bring him to the vet daily to cleanse the wounds which will probably take a very long time.
2. Stitch up the wounds (this is only applicable on certain smaller wounds which the new skins are visibly growing out)
3. Skin grafting (most advisable by the vet)

We have opted option 2 for the smaller wounds and option 3 for the huge wound as per adviced by Dr. Prem. Total cost estimated for the whole procedures inclusive of boarding of half-a-year is RM6,000.00.
