Newly Employed Landscape Specialists!

Newly employed landscape specialists in ACRES Lao PDR!
The grounds of the sambar deer (Rusa unicolor) enclosure has been highly compacted for many years. It is so hard that grass cannot grow on it anymore. What better way to solve this problem than to invite our two newest landscaping specialists, the wild pigs (Sus scrofa)! We are counting on their natural digging and wallowing behaviour to loosen up the soil so that we may start planting grass again to enhance the enclosure. The wild pigs look much happier now with a much bigger space to exercise in!

Thanks to our ungulate and maintenance team, also our volunteer, Cathy and everyone else who helped!
