This little dog found at the side of the road in Romania is now named Solo. When Norica Prigoana saw him alone she pulled to the side of this busy road and gently welcomed him to approach. As he stood on his hind legs and tried to climb into Norica’s arms, she had just a few simple words for him. “Don’t worry baby, I will not leave you here.”

And thus is born another rescue. While so much of the focus today is on all that is going wrong in Romania, we bring you the faces of hope. The past 100 days have brought tremendous change in Romania. We’ve been bringing in food by the truckload, rebuilding broken shelter walls, restoring the faith of rescue teams who have felt so alone. And we’re just getting started as winter approaches and there is so much to do to keep the animals warm and fed.
