Soi Dog has reached a milestone of over 55,037 dogs and cats sterilised as of August 2013. Soi Dog firmly believes that the ONLY effective and humane way of reducing the suffering of street dogs and cats is to spay and neuter. This prevents the increase in unwanted animals being born and suffering death, disease and starvation. You can find out more about the spay and neuter program by visiting: http://www.soidog.org/en/spay-neuter-program/
As part of the spay and neuter program, Soi Dog operates mobile vet clinics around the island of Phuket five days per week. This commenced in June 2012 and all areas in Phuket will have been covered by early 2014. The remainder of 2014 will be spent revisiting each area to sterilise any remaining animals and ensure that Phuket remains rabies free. The aim of this program is to sterilise 10,000 dogs per year plus cats.
Your help is needed to ensure that this program continues and the suffering of Phukets cats and dogs continues to be reduced by donating at: https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/Default.aspx
