Hello Facebook friends!!!

Some fantastic news on Mia’s recovery progress. Sabrina, a member of our macaque response team, has been visiting Mia daily to help with her physio.

On today’s visit, Mia was able to move her left leg on her own and even managed to grip Sabrina’s finger with her toes!!! This is a sure sign that Mia is recovering at a great speed, and Sabrina reports that each day Mia is gaining strength and that Mia is still very much as wild as when she was rescued.

Mia’s diet is also being altered, so that she is cutting down on fruits and is being fed more greens, all of which is crucial for her successful release back into the wild, where she belongs.

We will be sure to keep you posted about Mia’s continued progress. in the mean time, happy Thursday everyone!! :-)
