Many of you know that the Harmony Fund has been working with several rescue groups in Romania, but how often do you hear of the cats here? Though so much emphasis now is on the desperate needs of dogs the cats are also in great need. Here at the St. Francis Shelter, Cristina has asked us for help.
She writes, “This is Ginger, a friendly big nice tomcat.Young and good fellow. Unfortunatelly he got an ear tumour which must be urgently removed. We have no money to help him now as the shelter is getting more and more strays rescued from dead.Poor Ginger can not be surgeried without help..Also we need a foster home for him after surgery because in shelter he can not be recovered, no condition and no dedicated person to give him medicines. The surgery is about 100 Euro.”
We hope to send over money to pay for Ginger’s small surgery on his ear and to provide greatly needed food and veterinary needs. Though we’d ultimately like to see what can be done to improve the shelter area where the cats stay, for today we’re zeroing in on the most basic needs. ALL DONATIONS TONIGHT WILL GO TOWARD THE ST. FRANCIS SHELTER IN ROMANIA. http://animalrescuechase.com/news/july-2013/project-romania.html#donation
